EARTHQUAKE STRIKES LA CARLOTA CITY
A 4.7 magnitude earthquake awakened La Carloteños at around 1:01 AM and 2:06 AM today, June 22.

Message from Doc Rex: Preparation, Sharing, Prayer & Collective Effort Against COVID-19
City Mayor Rex Jalando-on addressed the La Carlotenos in a video released this afternoon, March 28.
In his message, Doc Rex informed about the preparations of the city as the Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ) closes in.
The ECQ will take effect on March 30 and will last until April 14 to prevent and mitigate the spread of the COVID-19.
Doc Rex informed that he will be opening his Office every Saturday and Sunday from 8:00AM to 5:00PM until the ECQ is lifted. Another is the establishment of the Command Center at the City Gym which will be operating 24/7.
The mayor also appealed to the La Carlotenos to be patient, to help and support the City Government, to share to those most in need, to pray everyday and to work together to win the war against the pandemic which claimed thousands of lives already.
“Magsunod kita sa patakaran-sa checkpoint, sa quarantine pass, sa food packs, ” he said.
Stopping COVID-19 is a collective responsibility. Let us do our share.
