Mangkasanon Family Comes Home After 15 years
Mayor Rex R. Jalando-on welcomed the Luceriano Family last June 6 at the City Mayor’s Office. Comprised of spouses Teresito and Donna (formerly Mosquera) and children Dashiel Jhames, Alexis Job, Lorenz Jay, Mariah Jobien and Tricia Marie, the family is a Balik Probinsya, Bagong Pag-asa (BP2) Program.
BP2 was enacted under Executive Order 114 series of 2020. The program was created to address the congestion in the National Capital Region and encourage the beneficiaries to return to their hometown and start anew.
As BP beneficiary, the Luceriano family received transportation, livelihood, education, housing and emergency assistance from the different agencies involved.
The City Government of La Carlota, on the other hand, provided the family with food packs and grocery items as well as livelihood and cash assistance. Doc Rex promised to sponsor the couple’s civil wedding and offered a stall in Agora Market so that Teresito can establish his barbershop.
The Luceriano family will settle at Hda. Guadalupe, Brgy. Ayungon where Donna originally hailed from.
Also present to welcome the family were Acting City Administrator Marlene Gargantiel, CSWDO Head Angie Gelongo, Social Worker Mae Ann Monteras, and Ayungon Punong Barangay Rommel Delos Reyes.
