A total of 389 residents of La Carlota City attended an orientation for their emergency employment thru the Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa Ating Disadvantaged/Displaced Workers (TUPAD) program of the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) last September 1 at City Gymnasium.

TUPAD program is a community-based package of assistance that provides emergency employment for displaced workers, underemployed, and seasonal workers for a minimum period of 10 days.

Ms. Helen Barrato, Public Employment and Service Officer briefed the beneficiaries about the salient points of the program, guidelines in their employment, occupational safety and health, and wages prior to work engagement.

Beneficiaries were provided with personal protective equipment such as face masks, long sleeves and hats. They were also registered in Government Service Insurance System (GSIS) Group Accident Insurance.
