The recognition is a significant morale booster to the City Government and the COVAX Team after suffering many setbacks, low turn-out, and attacks form anti-vaxxers in the past.

Mayor Rex R. Jalando-on is grateful for the cooperation of the Mangkasanon community and the efforts of the City Vaccination Team to reach as many people and cover as much areas in the city-wide vaccination campaign.

The local chief executive aims to attain 50% herd immunity by the end of this month. His goal translates to an additional of 3,547 La Carlotenos showing up at vax sites or a total of 23,563 vaccinated La Carlotenos by October 31.

Doc Rex and other private physicians, including Medical Boards topnotcher Dr. Inez Benedicto, were recently spotted at the vaccination site last weekend. They temporarily substituted for fellow doctors who were given a day off before vaccination drive went on full gear this week.
