Mayor Rex Jalando-on, along with other officials of the City Government, welcomed Senator Risa Hontiveros at the Uriarte Covered Court, Brgy. ΙΙΙ-Poblacion last September 28.

In behalf of the Mangkasanons, Doc Rex expressed his gratitude to Senator Hontiveros for her Healthy Pinas Mobile Clinic that served almost 400 patients last September 24. The mobile clinic offered free laboratory procedures such as x-ray, ECG, ultrasound, and blood chemistry.

Senator Risa Hontiveros is a health and women’s rights advocate. She is the principal author and sponsor of the Anti-Hospital Deposit Law (RA No. 10932), the HIV and AIDS Policy Act of 2019 (RA No. 11166), Cheaper and Quality Medicines Law (RA No. 9502), Extended Maternity Leave Law (RA No. 11210), among others.

Present in the event were Vice Mayor David Baga Jr.; SP members Baste Benedicto, Jegie Aguirre, Akoy Sia and Lidoy Miravalles; SK Federation President Josela Jomento; Punong Barangays headed by Annabelle Bermudo; and Barangay Health Workers.
