Incumbent La Carlota City Mayor Rex “Doc” R. Jalando-on remained as the chief executive of the city, along with also incumbent Vice Mayor David “Jun-Jun” Baga, after winning in the May 9, 2022 local election.

Jalando-on garnered 20, 733 votes compared to rivals Demi Honrado’s 14, 194 votes and Francis Balzomo’s 660 votes.

The vice mayoralty race was won by Baga with a landslide victory of 25, 995 votes over Sharon Tolentino’s 3,597 votes.

Meanwhile, La Carlota City’s council slate was led by the incumbent and the youngest City Councilor Baste Benedicto with 22, 531 votes. Other slots are bagged by familiar faces and re-elected City Councilors Fini Jalandoni (wife of late Mayor Jacky Jalandoni), Julius Martin Asistio and Akoy Sia and former city officials Jimmy Mariňo and Jun-Jun Badillo. Among the new faces in the Sangguniang Panlungsod are Kap Putot Aries, Jojo Jalandoni, Stephen Simbit and JanJan Alvaňez Abad.

With the given trust and opportunity to serve for another three years, Mayor Rex R. Jalando-on, with the help of the Sangguniang Panlungsod members, aims to continue his sincere and honest service in improving the quality of life of the Mangkasanons and in leading La Carlota City towards a more sustainable and progressive future.
